Redwood Creek Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 Review

I got suckered into buying this at the local market. Since we are Frugal Wine Reviews this seemed the deal of the month.

Supposedly $9.99 but marked down to 2 for $10 with a dollar off coupon. I paid $4.50 per bottle for 2.

I really wanted to like this wine. I kept sniffing it and sipping it. Finally I concluded that it smelled like a stack of rain soaked pine pallets drying in the hot summer sun. Sour.

A Frugal Wine Review No Deal Here!

Dismayed I researched it online and found that many people liked it. Only one person compared it to "the smell of isopropyl alcohol" and exclaimed "would be a better example of cleaning solvent than wine".

Gave it 3 stars out of pity. The pretty label comes from the Frei Bros but it is owned by Gallo and apparently massed produced.
