Blackstone Winery Chardonnay Reserve 2006 Review

Clear golden pear color. Medium light body. On the nose floral & tropical fruit flavors, pear. Light tannin's and toasted oak.

Long silky slightly buttery finish. Best to let breathe a little (30min) and don't serve to cold. 59/61 degrees will allow you to enjoy the slight complexity of this wine.

Not the exquisite buttery finish of a high end Chard but close and it was there. Some similar & higher priced Chard's just don't have this.

It paired nicely with some sushi, baguette with olive oil and herbs along with a Mediterranean olive mix marinated in California Chardonnay. Bon Appetit.

Alcohol 13.5% by volume.
